Цель урока. Выражать собственное мнение о некоторых таинственных
фактах
в
нашей
жизни,
используя
активную
лексику
и
информацию,
полученную при прослушивании текстов.
Задачи:
1.
Сформировать у учащихся умения работать с информацией, выделять
существенное, главное для поставленной цели.
2.
Сформировать навыки совместной работы и делового общения в группе.
3.
Сформировать
навыка
планирования
своей
деятельности
и
самостоятельного достижения поставленных целей.
4.
Воспитывать толерантное отношение к представителям других культур.

Воспитывать культуру общения.

Listen to the music. What are your associations with this music?
1. Look at the board and match the words with the correct pictures and try to
explain what it is.
a yeti – ( a wild animal said to look like a human with a lot of hair)
a UFO – Unidentified Flying Object, a strange object that flies.
the Loch ness monster – an ancient sea creature said to live in Loch Ness in
Scotland.
a fairy – an imaginary creature hat looks like a small person with wings.
a ghost – the spirit of a dead person.
a vampire – a character from stories who sucks blood.
2. Match the word with the correct definition.

4. vanish – disappear suddenly
5. mystery – something which cannot be explained
6. alien –a living thing from another planet
7. monster – a strange, frightening animal

about
some
mysterious facts in our life using our active vocabulary and new information from
the texts.
II. Listening.
Can you name any mystery which is not solved yet? (Teacher writes on the
board) (Atlantis, the Pyramids, the Marie Celeste…..)
1. Listen to four short dialogues. For each dialogue, choose which picture, a, b
or c, shows what the people are talking about. (A)
2. And now one more unexplained mystery. Look at the picture and guess
what place is it? What is it famous for? Why does this place have a bad reputation?
